Connect QuickBooks

How to connect or reconnect your QuickBooks Online company to BeanKeeper

Connecting QuickBooks happens inside your BeanKeeper workspace, so the authorization is bound to your account — not to this public page.

Connect for the first time

  1. Sign in to your BeanKeeper workspace. Your sign-in link comes from the person who set up your account.
  2. Open Connected accounting in the sidebar.
  3. Choose Connect. QuickBooks' own consent screen opens and shows exactly what BeanKeeper will be able to see.
  4. Sign in to Intuit and choose the company you are authorizing. You return to your workspace, and the connection is verified before any work begins.

Reconnect

If a connection has expired or your company was reauthorized, the Connected accounting page shows reconnect required. Choose Connect again and complete the same consent screen to restore it. Existing records are not changed by reconnecting.

What we can see after you connect

BeanKeeper uses the connection to read your chart of accounts, transactions, and balances so bookkeeping work and reports stay in the accounting software you already use. Any change prepared for your books is applied only through an approval step in your workspace. Full details: end-user license agreement and privacy policy.

Before you connect

You need authority over the QuickBooks company you connect — typically you are its company administrator. If someone else manages your QuickBooks, ask them before authorizing.
