End-user license agreement
Last updated: September 24, 2026
1. Who this agreement covers
This end-user license agreement ("Agreement") is between you and BeanKeeper AI ("BeanKeeper," "we," "us"), the operator of the BeanKeeper bookkeeping service and website at beankeeperai.com. "You" means the business that uses the service and the people you authorize to use it on your behalf. By creating a workspace, connecting an accounting system, or otherwise using the service, you accept this Agreement.
2. The service
BeanKeeper is a bookkeeping service: we help you organize source records, reconcile activity, prepare clear reports, and answer questions about your records. Where you authorize it, the service connects to your QuickBooks Online company through Intuit's API so that work happens in the accounting software you already use. The specific scope of bookkeeping work, timelines, and fees for your business are agreed in your signed service agreement. This Agreement governs your use of the service itself.
3. Your license
While you comply with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your own business records. You may not resell the service, use it to operate a bookkeeping service for others without our written agreement, misuse or probe the security of the service, or use it for unlawful purposes.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the records you provide and for your business decisions.
- You confirm you have the authority to connect any accounting system, bank feed, or company you connect to the service.
- Where the service prepares a change to your accounting records, that change is applied only through an approval step in your workspace. You and any reviewer you designate remain responsible for reviewing and approving it. We recommend independent review by your own CPA or qualified professional.
5. AI assistance
The service uses AI to categorize activity, prepare answers grounded in your records, and draft follow-up questions. AI prepares this work; it does not approve or post entries to your accounting system on its own. Approval steps belong to you and the reviewers you designate.
6. Service boundaries
We do not prepare tax returns or provide tax, legal, audit, attestation, or CPA services. Reports and records the service produces are organized bookkeeping records, not audited or reviewed financial statements. We do not guarantee particular outcomes, savings, or timelines; any individualized estimate is discussed during your consultation and depends on your circumstances.
7. Connections to your accounting system
When you connect QuickBooks Online, you authorize us through Intuit's consent screen to access your company's data within the permissions shown there. We use that access only to provide the service. You can disconnect at any time from your workspace or from Intuit — see how to disconnect. Disconnecting stops our automated access to your company.
8. Your data
Your records remain yours. We use them only to provide the service to you. How we collect, use, and protect information — and how to request deletion — is described in our privacy policy. If you asked us a question through a consultation request and no client relationship begins, we delete your submission within 30 days.
9. Fees and service agreements
Fees, if any, and the scope of ongoing bookkeeping work are set out in your signed service agreement. This Agreement does not itself create any payment obligation.
10. Availability
The service is offered as a beta offering and continues to change. Features may be added, changed, or withdrawn as the service develops. We work to keep the service available and your records safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that are not stated in this Agreement, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Each party's total liability under this Agreement is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time, and either party may end the service relationship as set out in your signed service agreement. When the service ends, our automated access to your connected accounting systems stops, and your data is handled as described in the privacy policy and your service agreement.
14. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement as the service changes. We post the current version on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a change is material, we will notify you through your workspace or the contact information we hold before it takes effect.
15. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
